Landsat 1-9 Collection 2 Calibration Parameter Files (CPF)

Return to Calibration Parameter Files Information

Calibration Parameter Files (CPFs) provide radiometric and geometric coefficients needed for processing of raw, uncorrected Landsat image data. Each timeframe specific CPF contains calibration coefficients that have been adjusted to correct for the time varying performance of the sensor.

Each CPF has an Effective date and a Version date. The Effective date must match the acquisition date of the scene. A CPF version is active until it is superseded by a new CPF for that date period. Data can be processed with any version of a CPF, however the later versions have more refined parameters.
