Landsat Missions
The map below shows the number of marketable scenes acquired globally by Landsat 7 from June 29, 1999 through August 31, 2009.
Regions showing the largest number of acquired scenes (red/orange) generally represent locations that fall within the area of coverage for direct downlink to either EROS or one of the other Landsat 7 International Ground Stations (IGS). Regions with a smaller number of acquired scenes (blue/green/yellow) represent areas that have been scheduled less frequently due to satellite memory constraints, seasonality considerations, and/or frequent occurrence of high cloud cover.
