Landsat Missions
All image data acquired by the Landsat 7 Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus (ETM+) from July 14, 2003 to the present (excluding a two-week interval from 9/3/03 to 9/17/03) has been collected in Scan Line Corrector (SLC)-off mode. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Center for Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) has developed several different options to increase the utility of the SLC-off product. Please consider the intended use of the data when choosing a processing option.
Beginning September 30, 2008, the USGS will offer all users the Landsat 7 archive data at no charge using a standard data product recipe. The Landsat TM and Landsat MSS archive will also become available at no charge with a standard recipe in December 2008 and January 2009 respectively.
At those times, the current products listed below will no longer be available for ordering. Please view the Technical Announcement - .pdf (66.8 KB) for additional information.
The distribution of Landsat 7 ETM+ L1Gt, L1T and Segment-based Terrain correction data is restricted to U. S. Government and its affiliated users. Please contact USGS EROS Customer Services if you have questions regarding this policy.

Level 0Rp - This product includes the duplicated scan lines along the edge of the scene. The width of the duplicated data regions diminishes toward the center of the scene. |

Level 1R - This product is a radiometrically corrected L0R product and includes the duplicated scan lines along the edge of the scene. The width of the duplicated data regions diminishes toward the center of the scene. |

Level 1G, 1Gt, 1T SLC-Off - This product includes the original data gaps. Duplicated pixels have been replaced with null values (zero-fill) and as a result, the image contains alternating "stripes" of missing data. |

Level 1G, 1Gt, 1T Interpolated - In these products, all missing pixel values in the original SLC-off image have been filled with DN values interpolated from neighboring scan lines. Replacement data values are derived from within the current SLC-off image. |

Level 1G, 1Gt, 1T Gap-filled - In these products, all missing pixel values in the original SLC-off image have been replaced with histogram-matched data values taken from one or more alternate acquisition dates. |

Level 1T Segment-based Gap-fill - In this product, all missing pixels have been replaced with interpolated spectral data from the original SLC-off imagery, using a multi-scale segment model. |

All SLC-off data products may be searched and ordered through EarthExplorer or the USGS Global Visualization Viewer (GloVis).
