SLC-off Data Products: Level 1G, 1Gt and 1T

The Level 1 Scan Line Corrector (SLC)-off products contain the original data gaps, which gradually diminish in width toward the center of the scene (Figures 1, 2, 3). Level 1 processing applies a small (2-pixel) interpolation along the scanline boundary, and all remaining duplicated image data are replaced with null values (zero-fill).

L1G product, illustrating the data gap along the scene edge. L1G product, showing nominal image data at the scene center. Due to the detector arrangement, the exact location of the onset of zero-filled data values will vary by band. Complete Landsat 7 scene showing affected vs. unaffected area.

The Level 1 SLC-off product is available through either of the two United States Geological Survey (USGS) Level 1 Processing Systems (NLAPS or LPGS).

To download samples of the SLC-off products, see the Sample Products page.

All SLC-off data products may be searched and ordered through EarthExplorer or the USGS Global Visualization Viewer (GloVis).

The distribution of Landsat 7 ETM+ L1Gt and L1T Terrain correction data is restricted to U. S. Government and its affiliated users.
