Question:
How can I find the acquisition time for an image?

Answer:

Scene acquisition times are listed in the online metadata files, which can be accessed by searching the particular scene on GloVis (http://glovis.usgs.gov) or Earth Explorer (http://earthexplorer.usgs.gov). Scenes processed after February 9, 2009 also include the acquisition times in the .mtl.txt file that is included with the data files. Scene acquisition times are expressed in Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) standard.
