Using Landsat Data

Landsat data is used worldwide by scientists and researchers to monitor land change due to urban area growth, natural and manmade disasters, and deforestation, to many other uses for earth surface analysis.

The Landsat Science Team investigates and advises the USGS and NASA on issues critical to the success of LDCM with their extensive knowledge and areas of primary study. Established in 2007, the team meets twice yearly to discuss mission status reports, future mission plans and to provide updates to their primary field of study.

The Landsat Image Gallery highlights dramatic features and change over time comparisons from areas around the world.
